  26. Of course you can transfer the file to PC with Kermit, but the question is
  27. how you can use it afterwards.  The PC file system does not have indexed
  28. files, and so you need some application-specific utility to convert the data
  29. (record format and possibly other material, like internal integer and/or
  30. floating point format) to a format that can be used, or imported, by the
  31. PC database software.

  33. Your best bet is to repost your question to comp.os.vms, and list the
  34. specific database applications involved.
